Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “Enthusiasm is the mother of effort, and without it nothing great was ever achieved.”
So, students come on up and start being enthutiast in practising (^o^)/

The Pretty Duo
Can't Help Loving That Man is taken from The Show Boat musical soundtrack. Here, Edeline has shown a very good interpretation of this song. Her 'jazzy' voice character has developed from time to time. And guess what??? She is just 12 years old!! She likes this song so much and has been practicing hard for her debut concert.
Levina is singing Somewhere from West Side Story. This song is about hope and optimism. Levina picked this song because she wanted to share with the world that there is always a Hope in your life. This 14-year-old girl has a very positive attitude and mind. Music is the best way to express herself.

Vanessa
This 7-year old girl used to cry sometimes in the piano lesson because she thought she couldn't play the piano well, but look at her now....she plays so well,. Vanessa is also preparing for grade 1 ABRSM piano exam this year. As we always know Practice makes Perfect, that's what Vanessa do to improve her playing. Greatest thanks to Vanessa's mom, too, for being so supportive and encouraging. Mom is always the best ^^
Vanessa plays "March" (Shostakovich)
Fiona
Fiona is a new comer to our training center. She is just one month here. This pretty girl is a very quick learner. She shows a great improvement in just one month, from a raw singing voice to a musical way of singing. She always listen seriously to the instructions by the teacher. Here is a video of her singing "Edelweiss'' from the Sound of Music.
Mushroom Houses
Look at these cute little mushroom houses made by our students...love it..love it!!! Even they are just half-done, they are already so lovely. Our students are now getting more and more creative, we are so proud of you guys ^^
Look at those cute windows, covered with leaves, cute wizard hat-like roof, lively colors and so on. They told me they are going to make more decorations. Let's wait patiently and see the wonder of their clay world.

Concert Preparation
Today uploads are about piano students' composition for our upcoming student concert in June 2013. We upload just extracts of their compositions. If you would like to find out more of the complete songs, please come and join our concert ^^ The venue, date and time will be announced soon.
It is so exciting to see each students have their own unique character in their music. Each song has it's own colour and innocent imagination by the children.
This first song is performed and composed by Ferryn (9yrs old). Her song is about the wizard cat who is trying to do some magic on it's broom.
This 2nd song is performed and composed by Angelika Riyanto (11yrs old). She writes song about a birthday party, probably she's imagining her own birthday party ^^ It's a very lively song.
The 3rd song is performed and composed by Shanice (12yrs old). This song is truly romantic!! I bet most of the girls will love it. It's about a wedding. You can feel the atmosphere of every girls' dream wedding.
The next song is composed and performed by Nicole Carolyn Utomo (9yrs old). Purple is her favourite color, so she named her song "My Purple Song".
This time is a pretty melancholic song. It's about an innocent love of a young girl waiting for the moment to come. The song is composed and performed by Janice Kathryn Utomo (13yrs old).
Well, hope you will like it and don't forget to follow our updates on the Time, Date and Venue of our concert ^^

Long Notes Practice
This is another video showing long notes practice performed by Alexa Ovilia (12 years old). We picked the song "Somewhere" (from Westside Story) for her. This song might sound simple but actually strong voice is required to sing it and the interval skips are also very tricky. It is a really good song for intermediate students. It helps to develop strength and voice elasticity. This is the 2nd lesson of Alexa singing "Somewhere". We will upload her next recording in the near future.

Fine Arts Drawing
In our training center, drawing students
are introduced to the fine arts drawing technique which means, they will be
trained on how to draw from the very basic steps starting from black and white
sketching, understanding the shading technique, so realistic and dimensional pictures
are not impossible to draw even for a beginner level.
How about about coloring? Yes, we
do train students on coloring, but not just simply coloring
as in common. Coloring are done step by step to get the proper shade and tone
to make the picture drawn even more realistic and close to the real objects.
Below we are showing a few steps of
coloring technique taught in our training center.
Pictures shown are drawn by the teacher of The Art Center, Sir Eko.
Voice Student
Voice lesson is not just about training students to sing the right notes and memorizing the text, but it involves the technique of voicing, dynamic, musical interpretation, stability and also developing strong voice. Here we are showing one of our dilligent student practising long notes and high notes. We picked the song "Tomorrow" (from the motion picture Annie) for Mathilda as the practice material. This song is a good choice to learn long notes and powerful high notes. She did quite well in this recording. We will soon upload her next recording. Keep up, girl!

These fairies in the pictures are made by the teacher. We will be uploading the students' fairies as soon as they are done with them.
